4-1..At last..My personal favourite player scored!!

Blackburn winger Morten Gamst Pedersen has voiced his relief after ending his Premier League goal drought in Sunday's win over Bolton.

Pedersen netted in the 90th minute of Rovers' 4-1 victory over the Trotters for his first league goal since last February.

The Norway international had made a name for himself as a goalscoring midfielder until his barren run - and he hopes his latest effort will set him up for the rest of the season.

"It was a good feeling because it's been a while since I last scored in the league," Pedersen told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"I've scored a couple in the cups, and a few for my national team, but in the league it has been a while, and it's always good to score, especially when we managed to put in a good performance as a team as well.

"I've hit almost everything; the crossbar; the post; people.

"But I hit the target and it's a good feeling. Hopefully, I can get a few more now."

Manager Mark Hughes was also delighted for Pedersen after keeping faith with him all season, and is confident the 26-year-old will now go from strength to strength.

"It was an important goal for Morten," said Hughes. "Obviously, confidence wise, he has been a little bit low but he took his goal really well, and I thought in the first half he caused them a real problem with his power in the air, and his ability to produce balls from wide areas.

"So it was a good performance by him, and I'm sure he will benefit from that."
